Our mission

At Gippeswyk Game and Angling, our mission is to make the world of field sports more accessible, inclusive, and enjoyable for everyone—whether you’re taking your first steps into the field or you’ve been part of the tradition for years. We provide high-quality, great-value clothing, equipment, and accessories that honour the heritage of field sports while opening the door to newcomers from all backgrounds. We believe that respect for the countryside and its traditions should go hand-in-hand with inclusivity, and we’re committed to lowering the barriers to entry—so that all walks of life can feel welcome, well-equipped, and part of the sporting community.

Our story

Gippeswyk Game and Angling was born from a deep-rooted love of the countryside, a lifelong passion for field sports, and a family legacy in independent retail. For over 50 years, our family ran a traditional tobacconist—serving three generations of customers until changing times brought its closure. Though the doors closed, the spirit of the shop remained. After many years as an angler and game shooter, and more recently a keen deer stalker, I decided it was time to blend my personal passions with a professional background in ecology and conservation. Gippeswyk Game and Angling is the result: a modern field sports shop grounded in heritage, welcoming to all, and driven by a desire to connect more people with the outdoors in a meaningful, respectful way.
